How to be the perfect new dad

How to be the perfect new dad

www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/dads/perfectnewdad/

So now you're a dad, and you can't for the life of you find the manual for this crying, new little person. Oh well, you can learn on the job. To give you a head start, we asked a group of mums what they most wanted from their partner in the early days.

Hold your nerve

You may well feel a sense of panic when the midwives, doctors and health visitors disappear and leave you literally holding the baby. This will naturally coincide with your baby waking up more, crying louder and the odd breastfeeding hiccup. Now is the time to stay calm and remind your partner what a great job she's done so far.

Know who to ask

Keep a list of key phone numbers next to the phone or key them into your mobile. That way, when you are worried about something you can quickly call the best person for advice. As well as including your midwife, doctor, health visitor and mum on your list, you could also add the telephone numbers of friends with children, your antenatal teacher, your local breastfeeding counsellor and the National Breastfeeding Helpline.

Shop until you drop

Stock up your cupboards and freezer with plenty of food ideal for quick and easy meals. All too often there will be just too much to do in one day to allow much time for cooking. Accept that meals will be chaotic at first and be ready to provide fast food when called upon. Even if that does mean making frequent trips to your local takeaway!

Also become familiar with the baby aisle in your local supermarket, so that you can easily dash in and out for more nappies, baby cream and any other essentials at a moment's notice.

Be the gatekeeper

You're going to find yourselves very popular during the first few days that your partner and baby are home. You'll quickly learn that there's no greater attraction than a newborn baby, as friends, family and even the neighbours you barely know turn up to catch a glimpse of your brand new person. While it's always nice to be in demand, it can certainly be exhausting to have so many people coming and going. Be ready to put people off if your partner, baby or you feel frazzled.

Control the phone

Your phone is likely to be going crazy as friends and family telephone to congratulate you and hear all of your baby news. If the ceaseless ringing is starting to get to you, record a pleasant message on your answer phone that includes all of your latest baby action. You can then call them back when you feel up to it.

Pamper her

Run your partner a relaxing bath, massage her shoulders, cook her favourite meals and bring her snacks as well as drinks while she breastfeeds. Most new mums are sore, tired, hormonal and overexcited, so she needs you to help her cope. She will appreciate your extra effort so much that in the long term it will be a huge boost to your relationship. You will end up closer than ever.

Talk and listen

You and your partner really can't do enough of this. Give your baby and partner equal amounts of praise, and be honest about how becoming a parent has made you feel. The last thing you want to do is bottle up how such a life changing experience has affected you. In return, you need to listen to her, and understand that while she may feel weepy and ecstatic all at the same time, all she needs from you is love and support.

Sex and your partner

Don't forget yourself. Everyone needs someone to talk to outside of their direct family unit. While your partner will have her girlfriends and mother to confide in and chat to, you could turn to one of your own close friends to talk over all the gory details of the birth and any concerns you might have. This will leave you better equipped to debrief with your partner, and put you in the best possible frame of mind to start your journey into fatherhood.

Blogger AdukaTaruna bangsat....

Salam all ,
Sedikit catatan mengenai Aduka Taruna , sebelum beliau tersasul menghina Almarhum Sultan Iskandar . Membaca catatan dibawah ternyata beliau memang benar benar terlampau dan terlajak . Jika Saidina Ali dan Aisyah Isteri kesayangan Rasulullah disifatkan sebagai "bangang nak mampus " apatah lagi komen beliau mengenai Almarhum Sultan . Apapun bak kata Pepatah melayu " Terlajak Perahu boleh berundur ....Terlajak berblogging ...buruk padahnya ...sama samalah kita mengambil iktibar ....Wasalam..

Gambar Aduka Taruna

Sebelum ini Aduka Taruna juga pernah menghina Ulama'-Ulama' Mahzab dan juga Isteri Rasulullah saw, Aisyah. Dalam tulisan beliau bertajuk "Wahabi Perlis", beliau menulis;

"Pada gua, mazhab2 ni semua bangang nak mampos. Aku mazhab Shafie, ekau mazhab Hambali, dio mazhab Hadari. Kalau mak gua Shafie, gua kena Shafie. Kalau geografi gua Shafie, gua kena Shafie gak (Elin sorang jer Shafie Apdal). Kan ke ketetapan yang baling bongok dalam dunia.
" dan;

"Samo gak isu perang Muawwiyah-Aishah dgn Ali. Pada gua Aishah dan Muawwiyah manusia stupid dalam tajuk itu. Lu nak hukum gua kapir pun gua no hal punya. Memang 2-2 salah, tapi paling berat kat mangkuk 2 ekor tuh. Apa ingat Aishah isteri Nabi dia maksum. "

Dalam tulisan bertajuk "Sembang Mazhab" dia menulis;

"Takda maknanya, mak gua Shafie, gua kena Shafie sampai mampos.

Isteri Nabi Nuh jatuh hukum bangang, tetap jatuh hukum bangang. Anak Nabi Nuh jatuh hukum bangsat, tetap jatuh hukum bangsat. Anak Nabi Adam jatuh hukum sohai, tetap tiada kompromi. Sohai sebab bunuh saudara sendiri.

Anak Nabi Muhammad SAW kalau mencuri, potong tangan dia.
.

Aishah penyebab kematian ratus ribu nyawa dan darah muslim, dia tetap jatuh hukum bangang nak mampos.
Dalam tajuk itu.

"Jumhur ulama menetapkan keduanya tidak salah. Tapi Ali menghampiri kebenaran."

What the f**k? Berapa ramai mampos sebab kerja bodoh dikatakan tiada yang salah? Hanya kerana status elite Aishah? Hanya kerana dia kerabat diraja atau hanya kerana dia keturunan Syed? Islam itu Allah punya atau ulama punya? Niamakahai."

nama blogger tu Khairul Nizam

keje technician komputer kt Seremban

semasa perbicaraan, dia mengaku tak bersalah & minta dibicarakan

mahkamah bagi ikat jamin RM10,000 utk bebaskan dia sementara tunggu tarikh perbicaraan seterusnya

Khairul Nizam terpaksa minta diikat jamin sbb kena hadiri majlis perkahwinannya yg akan berlangsung tak lama lagi

tapi keluarga Khairul Nizam hanya mampu bayar ikat jamin RM5,000 sahaja

nasib baiklah negara ni ada undang2, kalo tak kerabat diraja johor dah lama kerahkan askar melayu setia johor tangkap & dera mamat ni sampai mati.

Pergi mampos sama lu. Bodoh punya kerajaan spesis stupid.

I love ISLAM

Assalamualaikum w.b.t….

Brother & sisters..
Just want to share something with you all…
Think carefully for our next future generations…
Remember the quote “to see the future of nation just look at their youth @ youngster…
What their done is the mirror of what will happen in future….”
So what happen now give big implication on our next generation…

It’s a story about using Allah as same word as other God which in Christian they believe Jesus is the son of God.
So, the Malaysian Christian (which I believe only some of them) currently claim that the word Allah not only belong to Muslim but also for them..
For me, it’s really sad they can’t even simplest thing & hurt Malaysian people really bad…
After many decade we Malay Muslim had sacrifice a lot for the others Malaysian (neither race or religion) in the name of unity but right now when it relate to ‘Aqidah’ & purity of Islam religion it’s really too much….
I don’t want our past mistake happen again & again…..
I believe this part of the Jewish plan.
So to all Muslim, please come unite & protect our beloved religion & country….
P/S : Here I attached some interesting photo that may open any Muslim eye regarding this matter….
So, please don’t say in the name of democracy, or whatever…..

What the kids will think after this if Allah can be seen at church like this??
It’ll make them confuse like ‘we can pray Allah at church’ or ‘Allah has more than one’???
What will happen next??

This already happen in East Malaysia, so please do something before its spread here…

Don’t wait until it happen like in Indonesia which lot of confusion like this….
That time ‘Murtad’ is normal & can’t be stop anymore….
Again, to all my Muslim friend lets unite and face this for sake of our future…
Thanks…..
Allahuakbar!! Allahuakbar!! Allahuakbar!!

Wassalam…

Burj Dubai now BURJ KHALIFA - OPENING CEREMONY

(HR Muslim)

The world's tallest tower, 'Burj Khalifa' is 828 metres (2,716.5 ft) high

Dubai, UAE; January 4, 2010: The world's tallest tower, developed by Emaar Properties, was unveiled tonight to a crowd of thousands and the world in a crescendo of fireworks, lasers and fountain displays.

The official height of the tower, unveiled as 'Burj Khalifa', was announced as 828 metres (2,716.5 ft).

A closely guarded secret, the official height of Burj Khalifa was flashed onto a giant screen before an estimated crowd of more than 400,000, as lasers and fireworks lit up the night sky.

Fireworks cascaded from the tower's spire to the base and lasers blazed out from all levels leaving the crowds awestruck.

The height was disclosed in arithmetic progression, with the numbers being flashed onto the screen, one after another. The tower's height breaks all existing world records for tall buildings.

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world according to the three main criteria of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). The CTBUH ranks the world’s tallest buildings based on ‘Height to Architectural Top,’ ‘Height to Highest Occupied Floor’ and ‘Height to Tip.’

At 828 metres (2,716.5ft), Burj Khalifa is 320 metres taller than Taipei 101, which at 508 metres (1,667 ft) had held the record for the world’s tallest building measured to the architectural top since 2004, the year the project was announced.

Burj Khalifa achieved the distinction of being the world's tallest structure – surpassing the KVLY-TV mast (628.8 metres; 2,063 ft) in North Dakota, USA – 1,325 days after excavation work started in January 2004.

The tower also beats the 31-year-old record of CN Tower, which at 553.33 metres (1,815.5 ft) had been the world’s tallest free-standing structure on land since 1976.

Burj Khalifa employs a record-breaking 330,000 cubic metres of concrete, 39,000 metric tonnes of steel rebar and 142,000 square metres of glass; and it took 22 million man hours to build.

Other world records for Burj Khalifa include the highest occupied floor in the world, at over 550 metres (1,800 ft); the highest outdoor observation deck in the world – At the Top on Level 124; and the tallest service elevator, which travels to a height of 504 metres (1,654 ft).

Mr. Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman, Emaar Properties, said that with the unveiling of the final height of Burj Khalifa, the world now had a new reference point for high-rise developments.

“Burj Khalifa is an example of collaboration on a global scale, and the tremendous positive energy that can be generated when people from all over the world come together to work towards a common goal. Thousands of professionals and skilled workers from around the world worked on this once-in-a-lifetime project.”

“More than 60 of the world’s leading consultants including South Korea’s Samsung Corporation and New York-based Turner Construction International realised the design for Burj Khalifa of Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM),” he said.

Burj Khalifa employed the latest advances in wind engineering, structural engineering, structural systems, construction materials and methods. All design considerations took into account the 12,000 people who will live and work in the tower. The handover to residents of the various components of Burj Khalifa will begin in February.

With a total built-up area of about 6 million sq ft, Burj Khalifa features nearly 2 million sq ft of residential space and over 300,000 sq ft of prime office space, in addition to the area occupied by the keenly awaited Armani Hotel Dubai and the Armani Residences. The tower also features modern lifestyle amenities including clubs, health and fitness facilities, gourmet restaurants and the 124th floor observation deck, 'At the Top.'

Burj Khalifa is the focal point of the 500-acre ‘mega-project’ by Emaar Properties, described as the new heart of Dubai.

BURJ DUBAI DETAILS

FIRE WORKS PHOTS

Fireworks to mark Burj Dubai inauguration

The inauguration of Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building, developed by Emaar Properties, will feature a spectacular display of sound, light, water and fireworks on the evening of Jan 4.
A combination of dazzling fireworks, light beams, choreographed water displays, and sound & music effects will describe the evolution of the world’s most iconic new building in a breathtaking sensory journey.
In all, 868 high-powered ‘stroboscope’ lights will be integrated into the facade of Burj Dubai and the tower’s spire – and each stroboscope will be fired individually to create a series of hypnotic lighting sequences.
The entire display is controlled by a sophisticated arrangement of ultra high-tech IT systems, which choreograph at least 50 different sequences of lighting, fireworks, water and sound effects.
Event experts from France, Britain and the United States collaborated on the project, demonstrating the global spirit of teamwork which defines Burj Dubai itself.
Powerful strobe lights will be fixed near the pinnacle of the tower, and six ‘narrow beam’ search lights will be positioned 700 metres up the tower.
The entire inauguration show consists of a pre-show and three themed acts – From the Desert Flower to Burj Dubai, Heart Beat, and From Dubai & the UAE to the World - and a firework finale.
A giant screen on Burj Park Island, as well as several television screens placed across Downtown Burj Dubai including the Waterfront Promenade, will broadcast the inauguration in real-time. Hundreds of international media, including Dubai TV, will report live from the scene.
The public can watch at the inauguration ceremony from the Waterfront Promenade adjacent to The Dubai Mall.
The inauguration performance begins with a short film which depicts the story of Dubai and the evolution of Burj Dubai as the world’s tallest building. A precisely choreographed sound, light, water and fireworks display then follows.
The first act in the light & sound show, themed ‘From the Desert Flower to Burj Dubai,’ is a co-ordinated water, light and firework display. Guests can watch the unfolding of the desert lily, Hymenocallis, the design inspiration of Burj Dubai. The segment ends with a rhythmic water and fireworks show.
The second act, ‘Heart Beat,’ captures the construction of the tower in a dynamic light show. An astonishing example of technological innovation, the display recreates the effect of a beating heart and uses no fewer than 300 ‘space canon projectors’ to generate a shadow-like image of the tower.
In the third act, ‘From Dubai and the UAE to the World,’ sky tracers and space canons envelop the tower in a strong halo of white light before reproducing the sun beams of the Emaar corporate logo. These then expand in all directions as the lighting rig on the tower’s spire activates.
In its spectacular finale, the show will feature an impressive show of 10,000 firework effects on and from the tower, envisaged as the highest in the world. The sparkling display will illuminate the entire Downtown Burj Dubai area.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, UAE, Emaar Properties, said that the performance would be unprecedented and symbolic of Burj Dubai’s pioneering status.
“Just as Burj Dubai leaves an indelible impression on the mind’s eye, so the performance dedicated to the tower’s inauguration on January 4 will be a memory to cherish.”
Standing at more than 800 metres (2,625 ft) high and with over 160 storeys, Burj Dubai is the world’s tallest building developed by Emaar Properties. The tower anchors the 500-acre Downtown Burj Dubai community, described as the new heart of the city.
